Jess has worked in health care as an EMT, physician extender, and RN for more than two decades. Diagnosed with PBC at the age of 30, she shifted her focus to advocacy for chronic liver diseases. She has served as a national patient advocate with the American Liver Foundation since 2016. She is a graduate of the Global Liver Institute A3 Learning Experience and has been a conference speaker for the PBCers, the global patient support group for people with PBC. She now works with Lifeline of Ohio in Donation Support Services.
