Uses

What is Enspryng used for?

Enspryng (satralizumab-mwge) is used to treat certain people with an autoimmune disease called neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD), which affects your eyes and spinal cord.

Enspryng may also be used for other conditions as determined by your healthcare provider.

How does Enspryng work (mechanism of action)?

If you have neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD), your body mistakes healthy cells as foreign substances and attacks them. Enspryng blocks a chemical messenger called IL-6, which helps reduce inflammation. Reduced inflammation may help lower damage to your body from NMOSD.
