What is Vevye (eye) used for?
Vevye (cyclosporine) is commonly used to treat the symptoms of dry eye disease. Symptoms often include eye discomfort (such as an itchy or gritty feeling in your eyes), eye redness, watering, and blurry vision.

How should I store Vevye?

Severe Allergic Reactions. Vevye may cause allergic reactions, which can be serious. Stop using Vevye and get help right away if you have any of the following symptoms of a serious allergic reaction.
- Breathing problems or wheezing
- Racing heart
- Fever or general ill feeling
- Swollen lymph nodes
- Swelling of the face, lips, mouth, tongue, or throat
- Trouble swallowing or throat tightness
- Itching, skin rash, or pale red bumps on the skin called hives
- Nausea or vomiting
- Dizziness, feeling lightheaded, or fainting
- Stomach cramps
- Joint pain

Who should not use Vevye?
Allergies to Ingredients. People who are allergic to any of the following should not use Vevye.
- Cyclosporine

What should I know about Vevye before using it?
Do not use Vevye unless it has been prescribed to you by a health care provider. Use it as prescribed.
Do not share Vevye with other people, even if they have the same condition as you. It may harm them.
Keep Vevye out of the reach of children.
Vevye is an eye drop medicine. Make sure that you or a caregiver understands how to properly use eye drops. If you have any questions, talk to your health care provider.
Eye infections may occur if your eye drop container gets contaminated with bacteria or other germs. To help prevent eye infections, be careful not to let the tip of the eye drop container touch your eye, fingers, or any other surface. Wash your hands before each use. Tell your health care provider right away if you have symptoms of an eye infection, such as eye redness, itching, discharge, swollen eyelids, or fever.
Remove contact lenses before using Vevye. If your health care provider says it is okay to wear contacts, wait at least 15 minutes after using Vevye before putting your lenses back in.
What should I tell my health care provider before using Vevye?
Tell your health care provider about all of your health conditions and any prescription or over-the-counter (OTC) medicines, vitamins/minerals, herbal products, and other supplements you are using. This will help them determine if Vevye is right for you.
In particular, make sure that you discuss any of the following.
Pregnancy. It is not known if or how Vevye could affect pregnancy or harm a fetus. Tell your health care provider if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
Breastfeeding. It is not known if Vevye passes into breast milk. Tell your health care provider if you are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed. Your health care provider will let you know if you should use Vevye while breastfeeding.
Interactions
Does Vevye interact with foods or drinks?
There are no known interactions between Vevye and foods or drinks.
It is unknown if drinking alcohol will affect Vevye.
Does Vevye interact with other medicines (drug interactions)?
There are no known interactions between Vevye and other medicines. Always tell your health care provider about any prescription or over-the-counter (OTC) medicines, vitamins/minerals, herbal products, and other supplements you are using.
Overdose/Missed Dose
What should I do if I accidentally use too much Vevye?
If you or someone else has used too much Vevye, get medical help right away, call 911, or contact a Poison Control center at 800-222-1222.
What should I do if I miss a dose of Vevye?
If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and only use the next dose. Do not use double or extra doses. Ask your health care provider if you are unsure what to do after a missed dose.
