Voydeya is an oral tablet used to treat paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH). It helps stop your immune system from destroying red blood cells. The most common side effect is headache. Voydeya can increase your risk for certain types of infections. What is Voydeya used for?
Voydeya (danicopan) is commonly used for paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH), which is a condition where your immune system destroys your red blood cells.
Voydeya may also be used for other conditions as determined by your health care provider.
How does Voydeya work (mechanism of action)?
Voydeya works by attaching to certain proteins in your immune system. This helps stop your immune system from attacking your red blood cells.

How should I store Voydeya?
Voydeya should be stored at room temperature, between 68 F and 77 F (20 C and 25 C). It can be exposed to temperatures between 59 F and 86 F (15 C and 30 C) for shorter periods of time, such as when transporting it. Store in a cool, dry place.
Side Effects
What are the most common side effects of Voydeya?
The most common side effect of Voydeya is headache. Tell your health care provider if you have headaches that bother you.

What are the serious side effects of Voydeya?
While less common, the most serious side effects of Voydeya are described below, along with what to do if they happen.
Severe Allergic Reactions. Voydeya may cause allergic reactions, which can be serious. Stop taking Voydeya and get help right away if you have any of the following symptoms of a serious allergic reaction.
- Breathing problems or wheezing
- Racing heart
- Fever or general ill feeling
- Swollen lymph nodes
- Swelling of the face, lips, mouth, tongue, or throat
- Trouble swallowing or throat tightness
- Itching, skin rash, or pale red bumps on the skin called hives
- Nausea or vomiting
- Dizziness, feeling lightheaded, or fainting
- Stomach cramps
- Joint pain
Infection. Voydeya can increase the risk of infections, including serious infections from certain bacteria that can cause meningitis, pneumonia, or other conditions. These infections can be life-threatening and lead to death. To help reduce your risk of some of these infections, your health care provider may recommend that you receive certain vaccines before starting Voydeya. Call your health care provider right away if you have an infection or any of the following symptoms.
- Fever, clammy skin, chills, or muscle aches
- Chest pain with cough
- Shortness of breath
- Fast heart rate
- Persistent headache
- Confusion
- Nausea or vomiting
- Sensitivity to light
- Stiff neck or back
Liver Problems. Changes in your liver function tests can happen while taking Voydeya. These changes do not usually cause problems, but if left untreated, they can lead to liver damage (hepatotoxicity). Keep all appointments for blood tests to check the health of your liver. Call your health care provider right away if you have any of the following symptoms of liver damage.
- Nausea or vomiting
- Stomach or belly pain
- Fever
- Weakness or unusual tiredness
- Itching
- Loss of appetite
- Light-colored poop
- Dark-colored urine (pee)
- Your skin or the whites of your eyes turning yellowish in color (also called jaundice)
High Cholesterol. Voydeya can increase the amount of fats (cholesterol) in your blood. Some people may need diet changes or medicines to manage their cholesterol levels. Keep all appointments for blood tests to check your cholesterol levels.

Who should not take Voydeya?
Allergies to Ingredients. People who are allergic to any of the following should not take Voydeya.
- Danicopan
- Voydeya
- Any of the ingredients in the specific product dispensed

Serious Bacterial Infection. Taking Voydeya can increase the risk of serious infections, such as meningitis and pneumonia, caused by encapsulated bacteria. These bacteria are harder to kill because they have a special layer around them. Do not take Voydeya if you have a serious bacterial infection that has not been treated.
What should I know about Voydeya before taking it?
Do not take Voydeya unless it has been prescribed to you by a health care provider. Take it as prescribed.
Do not share Voydeya with other people, even if they have the same condition as you. It may harm them.
Keep Voydeya out of the reach of children.
Voydeya may lower your ability to fight against certain types of infections. Tell your health care provider right away if you have symptoms of an infection, such as fever, chills, rash, trouble breathing, headache, cold or flu symptoms, confusion, or stiff neck.
Voydeya is only available through a special program, from certain health care providers, and to certain people. It is important that you keep all of your appointments, including labs or other testing, during and after Voydeya treatment. You may be required to get up to date on certain vaccines or take medicines to help prevent infections while taking Voydeya. Do not stop taking Voydeya unless your health care provider tells you to stop it. Stopping Voydeya suddenly may make your condition worse.
What should I tell my health care provider before taking Voydeya?
Tell your health care provider about all of your health conditions and any prescription or over-the-counter (OTC) medicines, vitamins/minerals, herbal products, and other supplements you are using. This will help them determine if Voydeya is right for you.
In particular, make sure that you discuss any of the following.
Current and Past Health Conditions. Tell your health care provider if you have any of the following.
- Infection or fever
- Liver problems
Vaccines. Talk to your health care provider about any vaccines that you may need. You should get up to date on certain vaccines at least two weeks before your first dose of Voydeya or as directed by your health care provider. Tell your health care provider about any vaccines you have recently received or have scheduled.
Other Medicines and Supplements. Voydeya may interact with other medicines and supplements. Before taking Voydeya, tell your health care provider about any prescription or over-the-counter (OTC) medicines, vitamins/minerals, herbal products, and other supplements you are using. See the Interactions section for more details.
Pregnancy. It is not known if or how Voydeya could affect pregnancy or harm a fetus. Tell your health care provider if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. Your health care provider will let you know if you should take Voydeya while you are pregnant or trying to get pregnant.
Breastfeeding. It is not known if Voydeya passes into breast milk. Do not breastfeed while taking Voydeya and for three days after your last dose. Tell your health care provider if you are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed.

Overdose/Missed Dose
What should I do if I accidentally take too much Voydeya?
If you or someone else has taken too much Voydeya, get medical help right away, call 911, or contact a Poison Control center at 800-222-1222.
What should I do if I miss a dose of Voydeya?
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. But if your next dose is due in less than three hours, skip the missed dose and only take the next dose. Do not take double or extra doses.
