Overview: Attruby is a tablet used to lower your risk of dying or being admitted to the hospital for transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM), a long-term, progressive heart condition. It works by reducing the build up of a certain type of protein in the heart. Common side effects include diarrhea and stomach pain. Serious side effects are rare, but can include an allergic reaction.

Uses

What is Attruby used for?

Attruby (acoramidis) is commonly used to lower your risk of dying or being admitted to the hospital for heart problems in people with transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM), which is a condition that can lead to the heart not pumping well.

For more information see What to Know About Attruby for Transthyretin Amyloid Cardiomyopathy.

Attruby may also be used for other conditions as determined by your healthcare provider.

How does Attruby work (mechanism of action)?

Attruby helps to reduce the amount of a protein, called transthyretin (TTR), that builds up in the heart. Attruby stabilizes this protein, which may slow the progress of your transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM).
