Uses

What is Jascayd used for?

Jascayd (nerandomilast) is commonly used to treat idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).

Jascayd may also be used for other conditions as determined by your health care provider.

How does Jascayd work (mechanism of action)?

People with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) have increased amounts of chemical messengers (cytokines) that increase inflammation. They also have high levels of growth factors that can lead to changes in the lungs (pulmonary fibrosis). These changes happen for an unknown reason. Over time, people with IPF have scarred lungs that make it hard to breathe.

Jascayd increases the levels of a substance in the lungs called cyclic AMP (cAMP). Increased cAMP helps to lower cytokines and growth factors that promote lung scarring. Jascayd helps to slow the loss of lung function.
