Follow any diet recommendations from your health care provider. Redemplo is just one method to lower your triglyceride levels.

Uses

What is Redemplo used for?

Redemplo (plozasiran) is commonly used to lower triglyceride levels in people with familial chylomicronemia syndrome (FCS).

Redemplo may also be used for other conditions as determined by your health care provider.

How does Redemplo work (mechanism of action)?

Redemplo is a kind of medicine called RNA interference (RNAi) therapy. RNAi is a natural process our cells use when making proteins. Redemplo causes the breakdown of the messenger RNA used to make a protein called apolipoprotein C-III. As a result, the amount of this protein is lowered. Lowered apolipoprotein C-III leads to lowered triglyceride levels.

How is Redemplo supplied (dosage forms)?

Redemplo is available as a 25 mg/0.5 mL single-dose prefilled syringe for subcutaneous (under the skin) injection that you or a caregiver may administer.

How should I store Redemplo?

Redemplo should be stored in the refrigerator, between 36 F and 46 F (2 C and 8 C) in the original carton until you are ready to use it. Redemplo may also be stored at room temperature, between 68 F and 77 F (20 C and 25 C) in the original carton for up to 30 days. Throw away any medicine stored at room temperature after 30 days.
