Celebrities usually look camera-ready, but that doesn't mean they look flawless all the time. Some famous people are plagued with the same types of skin issues that millions of other people have, including eczema. According to some reports, celebs like Adele, Brad Pitt, and Nicole Kidman all experienced flare-ups of the itchy skin condition. Even the Royal Family isn't unaffected: Kate Middleton has reportedly struggled with eczema in the past.

The Duchess of Cambridge hasn't spoken to reporters about her skin condition. In 2018, a former teacher at the Downe House Boarding School told the Daily Mail what she remembered about the future queen, though. She recalled Middleton being sporty and quiet. She said when Middleton arrived at school, she was suffering from eczema due to stress.

That time at Downe House was difficult for Middleton. She was bullied by other students and eventually chose to leave the school. She transferred to Marlborough College to finish high school.

It's been a long time since Middleton's boarding school days, and her skin no longer shows signs of eczema—at least, not while she is out in public. She may be taking steps to avoid triggers; she is rumored to have an allergy to horses, so she stays away from equestrian events. It's possible that her horse allergy affects her skin.

Middleton's personal style trends toward modest dresses and high necklines. She tends to wear long sleeves at public events. The conservative outfits may be a nod to royal propriety, but it could also be a cover-up for irritated skin if she suffers from eczema flare-ups.

The Duchess keeps her private affairs to herself, so it's unlikely she'll ever discuss her possible skin problems. If she does suffer from eczema these days, she appears to be managing the condition very well.
