Overview

Ligandrol is a type of chemical known as a selective androgen receptor modulator (SARM). It mimics the activity of testosterone in the body.

Ligandrol attaches to proteins in the body known as androgen receptors and is believed to have muscle building effects.

People use ligandrol for athletic performance, breast cancer, muscle strength, and many other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses. Using ligandrol might also be unsafe.

In the US, it is illegal to include SARMS, including ligandrol, in supplement products. But it is still found in some supplement products. These chemicals are also banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Ligandrol can be detected in urine tests.

Side Effects

When taken by mouth: Ligandrol is possibly unsafe. It's been used under medical supervision for up to 3 weeks, but there are concerns about serious side effects, including liver damage, heart attack, stroke, and others. The US FDA warns that dietary supplements containing selective androgen receptor modulators (SARMs) are dangerous.

Special Precautions and Warnings

Pregnancy and breast-feeding: Ligandrol is possibly unsafe when used during pregnancy or breast-feeding. It's been linked with serious side effects. Avoid use.

Liver disease: Ligandrol might cause liver problems. Ligandrol might make existing liver disease worse.

The US FDA warns that dietary supplements containing selective androgen receptor modulators (SARMs), including ligandrol, are dangerous. Speak with a healthcare provider before use.
